Beyond Bhayanaka
Wood, Metal Chain and Beads
127 cm X 92 cm
This artwork explores FEAR as both oppressive and fragile. The web’s irregular pattern reflects how fear feels unstructured but still traps us. Metal chains express strength, but their links suggest they can be broken. Beaded Dracula orchids replace spiders, appearing threatening from far, but delicate when closer. Placed in a corner, the angled structure draws viewers in. This immersive mix of strength and fragility shows that fear can hold us, but can also be overcome.
Lotus Heaven
Mixed media installation (Acrylic on 3D canvas, Origami)
140 cm X 140 cm
This artwork represents PEACE as a grounding and calming force. Five 3D canvases, placed on the floor, display painted lotus leaves, each topped with delicate origami flowers of different sizes. The lotus, a symbol of inner peace and resilience, appears to float above the surface. Positioned at the centre of my exhibition, this piece highlights how peace influences both positive and negative emotions.. Its presence invites viewers to reflect and experience peace and harmony.
Dripping Disgust
Acrylic on Canvas, Paint pen
183 cm X 147 cm
There are many things that make a place feel like home - which is what I aim to find in “Both Sides of Home”. This artwork explores DISGUST through texture, color, and symbolism. At the center, a melting Rafflesia, known for its strong smell, visually represents repulsion. The dripping effect makes it feel unsettling and alive. Around it, words painted and written, list sources of disgust, contrasting with the organic form. The oversized canvas amplifies the emotion, making it impossible to ignore. By facing disgust, the piece transforms disgust from something to avoid into something to examine.
Smiles in bloom
Mixed media digital artwork
59 cm X 84 cm
This artwork expresses JOY through vibrant colours, smiling mouths, and joyful flowers like sunflowers, mimosa, lilies, daffodils, and bergera. I mixed photos and drawings, merging flowers with smiles to show how joy is shared. Quotes about happiness connect feelings and words. Small mirrors in the petals invite viewers to reflect their own smile, making the piece interactive. Through this, I present joy as a collective and emotional experience.
Inner Sadness
Melamine wood sculpture
66 cm X 28 cm X 55 cm
This artwork represents deep inner SADNESS through a fragmented self-portrait painted in blue, a colour linked to sorrow. The cut sections reveal different aspects of sadness, while the white outline keeps the focus on the inner emotions. Arnica flowers, drawn on the surface, symbolise healing, showing that expressing sadness is not a weakness but a step toward recovery. By allowing emotions to be seen rather than hidden, this piece highlights how facing sorrow can lead to resilience.
Growing with Love
Melamine wood sculpture
65 cm * 65 cm
This artwork represents LOVE through a tree made of thick wire, wrapped in golden intertwined thread. At its centre, a decorated heart reflects love as the core of all relationships. Satin roses have grown from the branches, showing how love grows over time. The tree stands for growth and change, while the golden threads show the strength and warmth of relationships. LOVE is both delicate and strong, just like the tree and its roses.
Layers of courage.
Aluminium Metal Sheet, Spray paint and Acrylic Paint
84 cm * 20 cm
This artwork represents COURAGE through two intertwined hands, symbolizing strength and support. It is made of three metal layers: a solid central hand and two outlined hands. The central hand, visible through the cut-outs, is decorated with tiger lilies, symbols of bravery. The raw metal and large scale reflect power, while the layered design shows how courage comes from both inner strength and external help. Courage is revealed as a multi-layered emotion.
Breaking point
Plaster, glass, clay
56 cm * 30 cm * 20cm
This artwork shows the power of ANGER through a plaster fist breaking glass. The impact is frozen in time, with cracks spreading outward, capturing the explosive nature of anger. Petunias made from clay follow the broken lines, turning destruction into change. The contrast between the solid plaster and fragile glass highlights the strength of anger. While anger can break, it can also open space for something new, showing that even in moments of rupture, change and growth are possible.
